2018 Great American Beer Festival® Results 

306 medals recognizing brewing excellence awarded to 280 breweries 

DENVER • September 22, 2018 — The Brewers Association (BA) awarded 306 medals to 280 breweries across the United States at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition. In a ceremony at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, award-winning breweries received prestigious gold, silver and bronze medals in 102 beer categories covering 167 different beer styles (including all subcategories), establishing the best examples of each style in the country and earning a symbol of brewing excellence.

Iron Hill Brewery Makes History at GABF— Again

Wilmington, DE (September 22, 2018) – Delaware-based Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant earned their 48th medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF)®, the country’s preeminent beer festival and competition, presented by the Brewers Association. Thus, extending their record-setting consecutive winning streak to 22 years, the longest by an independent craft brewery in GABF history. This year, Iron Hill won a Bronze Medal for Solzhenitsyn, brewed in Media, PA, in the Aged Beer category.


Deep Ellum Releases No Way Rosé at State Fair of Texas


New Rosé Ale is a Collaboration Among CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective Members

DALLAS, TX, SEPTEMBER 20, 2018 – Deep Ellum Brewing Company announces the release of No Way Rosé – a tart Southwest-styled rosé ale with a prickly pear punch. Deep Ellum Brewing has joined forces with Oskar Blues Brewery, Cigar City Brewing and Perrin Brewing coming together in collaborative spirit. The resulting offspring, No Way Rosé, will debut at the State Fair of Texas, taking place in Dallas Sept. 28 – Oct. 21 with state-wide distribution to follow.

No Way Rosé will be available on draft at the State Fair of Texas, immediately followed by distribution of draft and 6-pack cans throughout the state. The rosé ale will also be available at the Deep Ellum Brewing taproom in Dallas and the Oskar Blues Brewery taproom in Austin


Oskar Blues Brings Back Death by Coconut Irish Porter

LONGMONT, CO, SEPTEMBER 19, 2018 – Oskar Blues Brewery announces a cult classic comeback – Death by Coconut Irish Porter returns for winter 2018 with kickoff events in taprooms on October 5. The seasonal brew marries flavors of bittersweet cacao and creamy coconut; asserts that beer is the perfect dessert; and invites believers to join the Death by Coconut Irish Porter Cult this season. The 6.5% ABV porter will be nationally distributed in 4-packs of 12oz cans starting in early October.
