Thanks for watching this posting of Meeting Expectations, one of many that ended in a split vote or not quite meeting expectations.

This sample of Kenny’s Kolsch was purchased at The Alchemist in Stowe, VT, about a month before tasted. (I can assure you that it was well taken care of during that time.)

“16 oz can, I don’t see a date but bought straight out of the cooler at the brewery two weeks ago, so assuming fresh.”

“1 1/2″ white head with excellent retention and sticky lacing left behind as it slowly recedes. Pale golden and appears unfiltered. Good looking beer.”

“Soft doughy malt and a floral hop overlay – maybe a hint of citrus at play here as well. Delicate and enticing aroma.”

“Great balance of bready malt, floral/herbal hops, and an over-arching fruity note. Well done.”

“Medium body, soft mouthfeel, low to medium carbonation. Mild lingering bitterness. Dry finish.”

“Very drinkable packs a lot of flavors and some complexities in at 4.4%.”

“Fresh can be acquired today from the brewery. Very hazy yellow. 2 fingers white head. Smells awesome. Crisp, cookie, grass, herbs. Tasty crisp lemon hay grassy flavor. good carb and fantastic non-bitter finish.”
